Craftsmanship meets literature - a unique accessory celebrating timeless ideals.

    English translation:

    Be noble,
    Helpful and good!
    Because that alone
    Distinguishes him
    Of all beings
    Whom we know.

    Hail the unknown
    Higher beings,
    Of our belief!
That we should be like them!
    Their examples teach us
That we might believe in them.

    Because nature
    Is insensitive:
    The sun is shining
    On bad and good,
    The moon and the stars.
    It shines on the evil
As on the best of us

    The winds and the currents,
    Thunder and hail
    Make their way
    And seize us
    One by one.
    As they hurry past

    Fortune too
    Reaches through the crowd
    Grabs the curly-headed boy
    In his innocence,
    And then the bald one
    Who is old and malevolent.

    As the eternal
    Great iron law requires
    We must all
    Complete the cycle
    Of our existence.

    Only we
    Can do the impossible:
    We differentiate,
    We choose and judge;
    He make the moment

    He alone may
    Reward the good
    Punish the wicked,
    Heal and redeem,
    And bind to purpose
    Everything wrong and lost.

    And we worship
    The immortals
    As if they were people
    Acting on a large scale,
    What the best of us
Do or want in our small way.

    Let the noble
    Be helpful and good!
    Tirelessly he shall work toward
    What is useful and right,
    Be to us an image
    of those beings we sense!

"Das Göttliche" (The Divine) was written in 1783 by German poet Johann Wolfgang von Goethe and is one of his most well-known lyrical works. In the poem, Goethe emphasizes the importance of human virtues and the necessity of striving for the divine within ourselves and the world around us.

The poem expresses the idea that humans should be noble, helpful, and good to set themselves apart from other beings. The message of the poem is that humans are defined by their actions and character traits, with helpfulness and kindness towards others being regarded as the highest values.

This exclusive leather watch strap is part of a strictly limited edition and has been crafted with the utmost care and craftsmanship. The engraving of the poem is a tribute to Goethe's inspiring work and a reminder of the timeless ideals of nobility, helpfulness, and goodness that form the core of our human nature.

To retain the characteristic look of your leather band for years to come, we recommend following these care instructions:

    • Keep your watch band away from moisture and humid environments. In case the leather accidentally gets wet, remove the band from the Apple Watch and clean the surface with a soft, dry cloth.
    • Even though your leather band resists everyday perspiration, we recommend changing it for a dedicated sports band, when engaging in sporting activities.
    • Remove your band from the Apple Watch case at least once a month to clean the adapters and the bandslot, especially after it gets wet.
